  I work in the area and wanted to attend a Good Friday service today. Looked online and ended up at Hilliard Chapel. The worship was spirit filled and two (2) sisters in Christ gave me a warm welcome greeting when I entered. The rest of the congregation did not even acknowledge me. The well-dressed ushers were too busy “posing” and made it a point to welcome the younger ladies. I really do not think it was a cultural thing (I was the only Non-Afro-American person in there), I think it was more of people not wanting to get out of their comfort zones and show love to strangers. I did not want to write this review and come across as being hypercritical, but I myself have been a Deacon at a church for 6 years and know it is important to acknowledge/welcome/connect with everyone who enters your doors (if anything from a security perspective). As I mentioned, the two sisters in Christ were awesome. The men need to go back to school for “how to love your neighbor 101”.
